Author Note: Hello, my name is Logan and I am a cofounder of Clear Contracts/Clarity and the author of this documentation. This is a guide for our first product, Crystal. We hope Crystal is a tool that enables decentralized communities to coordinate, grow, and prosper.

Introduction

Crystal is a platform that brings the power of decentralization to the decision making process for organizations. This solution provides for a fun and interactive way to engage your community through collective decision making. Crystal enables for off-chain voting based on the amount of governance asset a member holds, in order to provide a more fair, democratic, and streamlined decision making process.

In our journey to build the Clarity Protocol, we have done a lot of thinking and research about what DAOs need to operate efficiently. In this journey we have talked to many creators, founders, engineers, and community members about what pain points happen within DAOs. The one thing we heard a lot was that it was hard to make collective decisions. Thus, Crystal is an app built for communities to decide on things together and leverage collective intelligence.
